Have you ever wondered how the best quality coffee that people buy from supermarkets? Before everything that is seen in the shops and everywhere there is always the root of the best quality items and this time round are the seedlings.
Before doing anything even before potting the coffee cuttings in the nursery bed, its always better you chose and select the best of the coffee that is resistant to diseases and can with stand the dangerous weather.
Like any other plants coffee seedlings need care so that it grows well and in cool conditions but still there will always be those that will not grow as we expect. There are different types of coffee and these include Colonal Coffee etc
And some of the stages that led to the best coffee seedling are as follows;
Step 1: Look for the best quality coffee without diseases and this must always with stand the weather. Try and make your own mother garden so that your sure of the seedling that you will be potting.
Step 2: Before everything is done get black soil and make sure the soil is fine for potting seedlings. Get your potting bags and pot your black soil first and add in water to soften the soil and easy the cuttings to bring up the roots.
Step 3: Like the cassava process of propagation of stems this time round we shall call them cuttings. For the best cuttings get the newly growing stems and cut them using an angle of 450 on the side you will insert in the soil.
Step 4: This is now serious because unlike most of the plants, seedlings need to be jump started as people say but now here you will need rooting hormone and get your cuttings. On the side that was cut the 450 dip it in the rooting hormone and then pot it in the potting bag with black soil. Cover the seedling with the polythen and just wait for then to start bring roots
They will always be there some of the seedlings that will be of bad quality but its always important to take care of them the same way as you care for all the kids at home even when some of them disrespect you.
