Commissioning Mannya Coffee Factory

Mannya Coffee Farmers’ Cooperative Society Limited (MCFCS) is a rural-based entity located at Mannya in Kifamba Sub-county, Rakai District. It has been formed to empower small-holder coffee farmers who are obliged to sell unprocessed coffee to middlemen at very low prices, thus losing not only profits but also by-products (coffee husks, jobs in the processing factories) to other areas.

Mannya Coffee Farmers’ Cooperative Society Limited is market-driven and was formed in August 2019. It currently has 200 members and growing.

On 29 November 2019, the Cooperative will be commissioned by Hon Amelia Kyambadde, Minister of Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives at Mannya Parish.
